When Pixar originally announced they were doing a sequel to Toy Story, I was skeptical Movies in HD. There was no way they could recapture the magic of the original, which is simply one of the best buddy-movies ever made Movies in HD. Yet, in 1999 they proved me wrong Movies in HD. Toy Story 2 was a wonderful movie Movies in HD. If that's the case, why does it look and feel so much like "Gladiator?" And that's not just because of the Scott-Crowe connection, since this is actually their fifth film together (they also did "A Good Year," "American Gangster" and "Body of Lies"). There's also the period setting, the epic scope and the May release date that's about ten years to the day after "Gladiator" opened. The effect of the Toy Story films is practically primal. They appeal to anyone who's ever cared about a toy-one they outgrew, gave away, or painfully left behind somewhere Movies in HD. These films, with scant manipulation and much visual and comic invention, thrive on giving toys a conscience and imagining what adventures they have when we turn our backs to them Movies in HD. They address the way we emotionally invest in toys, sometimes (as in Toy Story 2, still tops) even throwing in a canny bit of air-tight commentary on consumerism as a bonus for the adults in the room Movies in HD. Such is Pixar's unique gift that these stories about toys fighting to be played with become, for us, confrontations with our own mortality-from birth to rot and everything in between. Once again, director Jon Favreau has surrounded Downey with really good actors Movies in HD. Mickey Rourke jumps on board as crazed Russian inventor Ivan Vanko (apparently allowed only one facial expression -- dour -- for the duration of the film) Movies in HD. Sam Rockwell plays ambitious defense contractor Justin Hammer, who claims one of his smart bombs is so smart it could write a book that "would make 'Ulysses' look like it was written in crayon Movies in HD." It's possibly not the most original of the three, but it's certainly the funniest, the darkest and the most emotionally challenging but at the same time satisfying Movies in HD. It goes to places and explores ideas about the very nature of existence and fully realised stories containing such thematic richness are incredibly rare.
