Once again, Downey is a hoot as billionaire-industrialist-inventor-playboy Tony Stark, a character that Marvel comic-book guru Stan Lee first modeled after Howard Hughes Death at a Funeral HD. Even in the middle of a big-budget movie awash in visual effects, Downey has the ability to show a childlike sense of wonder, discovery and glee as he uncovers new scientific clues to energy sources.
