M. Night Shyamalan's mash-up of Star Wars and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon unfolds in a mythical world out of balance. This is the first Resident Evil film I've seen, and it's not as bad as I'd been led to believe Crime movies. Written and directed by Paul W Crime movies.S. Anderson -- who returns to the series for the first time since the original film -- this fourth film has an interesting look, and some good, streamlined action sequences, apparently slowed down and clarified for the benefit of 3D Crime movies. It also has an interesting Hawksian element in which several humans with opposing points of view come together to battle a greater evil. Nolan's filmmaking and Inception's dream-delving work towards the same end: to offer us a simulation that toys with our notions of reality Crime movies. As that, and as a piece of summer popcorn-flick fare, Inception succeeds quite admirably, leaving behind imagery and memories that tug and twist our perceptions-daring us to ask whether we've wrapped our heads around it, or we're only half-remembering a waking dream Crime movies.
