The idea of entering dreams to manipulate someone isn't new - "Dreamscape" did that back in 1984 - but Nolan raises the stakes with brilliantly deployed effects (Gordon-Levitt walking on ceilings is just one "wow" moment) and a fast-moving, globe-spanning story. True, these involve for the most part some kind of chase or explosion, or a battle against the "trained projections" of the victim's subconscious, projections that are armed with automatic weapons and engage in Matrix-like acrobatics. Personally, I got more thrills out of the simple animation of Richard Linklater's Waking Life Full movie The Negotiator. Favreau does tease us towards the end that the final set-piece of the film is going to be spectacular, but when it comes down to it, it's simply a replay of the first film's end with Iron Man smacking seven bells out of someone in a slightly better suit of armour Full movie The Negotiator. Apart from the fact that with Rhodes beside him in another suit, it's over twice as quick Full movie The Negotiator. Iron Man 2 is fun, funny and exciting Full movie The Negotiator. It clocks in at a little over two hours, but is never dull Full movie The Negotiator. There are plenty of nice little touches for comic book fans (keep an eye out for Captain America's shield), but it's not so fan-boyish that general audiences will feel left out Full movie The Negotiator. Favreau has managed to deliver a sequel that is easily the equal of the original film - let's hope he can do it again in a couple of years with Iron Man 3. First, the good news, of which there is plenty.
